Osmo is operated by Alpaca Launch Inc., an Ontario corporation. Reach us at info@alpacalaunch.com.
What Osmo does (and doesn't do)
Osmo is a pre-fill assistant for Ontario MECP Form 2193E (Water Well Record, Reg. 903). It uses AI (Google Gemini) to turn your typed/spoken/photographed field notes into draft field values, then writes those values into the official PDF form for you to download, sign, and file.
Pilot / Beta status
Osmo is currently in private pilot. The service is provided free of charge during the pilot. Pricing, terms, and feature availability may change before general release. We will give pilot participants reasonable notice of material changes.
Your obligations
By using Osmo you agree that:
- You are a licensed Ontario well contractor or technician, or are working on behalf of one with their authorization.
- You will verify every field that Osmo pre-fills before signing or submitting the record. AI gets things wrong. You remain professionally responsible.
- You will file the completed Form 2193E with MECP within 30 days of well construction or alteration, as required by Ontario Regulation 903.
- You will not enter false or misleading information.
- You will not use Osmo for any purpose other than completing your own Form 2193E filings (or those of clients/employers you are authorized to file on behalf of).
- You will keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with unauthorized parties.
AI accuracy disclaimer
Osmo uses generative AI (Google Gemini) to interpret your input. AI can misread, mis-extract, or hallucinate values. Examples we've seen in testing:
- Numbers transcribed wrong (3 vs. 8, decimal places).
- Field assignments swapped (driller location vs. well site).
- Photo OCR misreading handwritten text.
You must visually verify the rendered PDF before signing or filing. Osmo provides AI suggestions, not professional advice.
Limitation of liability
Osmo and Alpaca Launch Inc. provide the service "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We are not liable for incorrect filings, missed 30-day deadlines, MECP penalties, or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
- Total aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months. During the free pilot, that amount is CAD $0.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits — in that case, the limit is whatever the law allows.
Account, access, and termination
- During the pilot, accounts share a single password supplied by Alpaca Launch Inc. We may rotate it at any time.
- You may stop using the service and request deletion of your records at any time by emailing info@alpacalaunch.com.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you are misusing the service, violating these terms, or putting other users at risk.
- If we shut Osmo down, we'll give pilot participants at least 30 days' notice and an opportunity to export their records.
Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Osmo you acknowledge that policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Effective" date and, where reasonable, communicated to active pilot participants.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario.
