Questions we get from drillers.

Does it really fill the official MECP form?
Yes. Osmo writes directly to the official MECP Form 2193E PDF (XFA-based). Every checkbox, every section, every signature line is generated exactly as the ministry expects. The output is the same submit-ready PDF you'd produce by hand — just done in minutes.
Do I still submit to the MECP myself?
Yes — Osmo creates the PDF; you submit it through your usual MECP channel (mail, email, or the Wells Inspectorate portal). We're working toward direct submission integration when MECP opens up an API. For now, Osmo gets you a perfect PDF in minutes instead of an hour.
What if I have no signal at the well?
Open Osmo before you head out and your tab keeps working. Form data auto-saves every keystroke locally — close the tab, lose signal, come back later, everything is still there. The AI assist needs a connection, but the manual form works offline and Osmo polishes it back at the truck.
How accurate is the photo-of-my-notebook feature?
Very good for printed and clearly-written field logs — Osmo's vision identifies tag numbers, depths, materials, and addresses with high accuracy. Sloppy handwriting or smudged ink may need a quick correction in chat. You always see what was extracted before it commits to the form.
Can I see a record before I commit it?
Always. Hit Download PDF → Osmo opens a full preview modal. Scroll through, verify every section. Click "Download & Save" to commit, or "Back to edit" to fix anything.
What about my old paper records?
Snap a photo of the old form or your field log book — Osmo's vision will read it and create a digital version you can re-download as a fresh 2193E. Useful for digitizing a backlog or recovering a record where the original got damaged.
Multiple drillers in one company — can we share records?
During the pilot, yes — every login on your account sees the same records gallery, and the contractor profile (business name, license, technician info) is shared so a new well opens 80% pre-filled. Multi-tenant isolation comes after the pilot.
Is my data secure?
Sessions auto-expire after 8 hours, cookies are HttpOnly + SameSite-protected, and we never share data with third parties. You can export and delete everything at any time. We're committing to Canadian server hosting before any paid launch.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Osmo is fully responsive from iPhone SE (375 px) up to a 32-inch desktop. 44-pixel tap targets so it works through gloves. iOS Safari and Android Chrome both supported.
